While I usually recommend a product or service that you may not be fully aware of, I'm taking a step back this week and recommending a very basic business tool: the calendar.
While defining your Strategic Marketing Action Plan, it is helpful to have a full-year wall calendar available to plan what needs to happen when.
Personally, I use both a 2' x 3' annual calendar from Staples with spaces large enough to write in (and erase) with colored stickers (more on those in a future issue) and an online calendar (AirSet) to prompt me toward my goals.
Pop-up reminders such as "Have you written your article yet?" and "30 days until product launch" keep me on track and have resulted in my crossing a lot more items off the list.
