Have you ever thought of yourself as a robot?
Chances are you haven’t (although we may think of others that way) and yet most of us are robotic in our ways and thoughts.
Sometimes it’s a good thing, like when you automatically exercise each morning – often doing it before you’ve had any conscious thought about it.
And other times, well…not so good. Like when you do the same things in your business day in and day out and wonder why the result never changes.
Albert Einstein had the word for this: “Insanity” – he defines it as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”. A pretty perfect definition if you ask me.
We’re more robotic in our daily actions than many of us care to acknowledge and yet, as humans, we’re still searching for those different results.
Now that you know about your “human and robotic” tendencies – sometimes spending (wasting) years doing/not doing the same thing again and again, how do you break out of that stagnation?
My Request to You:
Take a few minutes now – right now – and think about all the ways your
actions/inactions are robotic and have kept you in the same place.
Knowing that it’s tough to change and takes about 21 days to form a new habit, what is one thing that you are willing to change?
- writing one piece of your newsletter each day
until it’s done?
- making your lunch in the morning so it’s ready
when you are?
- connecting with 5 people each week?
- holding a teleclass monthly to grow your list?
- exercising each morning?
All of the above, and much more, contribute to your business success. What change are you going to implement…starting today?
And once you get in the habit of shaking things up a bit and seeing results, it’ll
be easier to do it again.
